What is the purpose of an FQHC?
Federal Qualified Health Centers(FQHC) is a community health care provider that receive funds from the HRSA Health Center Program to provide primary care services. The FQHC provide health care services to Homeless, Migrant, and residents of public housing. The defining legislation for Federal Qualified Health Centers (under the Consolidated Health Center Program) is Section 1905(I)(2)(B) of the Social Security Act.
