Description
Resonance BAS (Bio Acoustics Simulator) is to perform an objective
performance check of the pure tone air conduction output of an audiometer as part of the routine checking
regime specified in Clause 12 of ISO 8253-1:2010.
BAS is a substitute for a human test subject, thus eliminating the variables that can be present when using human
testing. BAS will provide a reference audiogram when the simulator is connected to a manual or automatic
audiometer. Additional features are available when BAS is connected to RESONANCE audiometers.
BAS is NOT a calibration unit and does not replace the need for regular calibration of an audiometer.
